Mutiu Adesina Okediran was born into the family of Mr. Raji Adewole & Mrs. Raliat Comfort Okediran of Igboora, Ibarapa-Central Local Government, Oyo State Nigeria; Igboora is known as the World-Capital of Twins. Mutiu is a graduate of Biochemistry from Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo Lagos Nigeria. He is a member of All Nigeria United Nations Students’ & Youth Association (ANUNSA), a youth NGO that propagates the ideals & workings of the United Nations to the grassroots.
As an undergraduate in LASU, he was the Assistant Secretary of National Association of Biochemistry Students (NABS), LASU chapter, Secretary-General, ANUNSA Lagos State University chapter, Director of Travels, ANUNSA Western Zone (2003-2004), Acting National Secretary General, ANUNSA- July 2003-August 2004, and Project Co-Moderator, All-Nigerian Youth e-discussions on “Role of Nigerian Youth in the Development of the Nigerian Nation” (29th February-22nd March 2004).
When he was the ANUNSA Acting National Secretary General, a National Seminar “Perspectives on Internet Media and South Youth” was organized at Lagos, Nigeria, 11th October 2003. The seminar aim was to encourage the interest of young people in the activities of the United Nations and address Internet Media as a tool for achieving economic and social goals. The seminar was part of the National Dialogue series towards the WSIS organized by the United Nations (UN) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in Geneva 2003 & Tunis 2005.
He has been involved with other youth organizations-including TakingITGlobal Nigeria

He concluded his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Thursday, 18th August 2005) Northern part of Nigeria, Sokoto State, a program designed to foster good relationship between the different regions in Nigeria. While he was there, he taught Chemistry at Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Shuni, Dange-Shuni Local Government.
He was the Information Technology Manager for Funmi Iyanda Productions, the producer of (now rested) New Dawn with Funmi from October 2005-Macrh 2009.
He is currently the IT Manager for Ignite Media Limited.
Mutiu is a website designer/manager, and IT consultant. He is married to Mrs. Orishesholaye Okediran (nee Idjagun) from Ethiope-East Local Government Area, Delta State Nigeria, are blessed with a daughter, Ms. Akorede Ogenefejiro Winifred Okediran on 22 March 2009.
